Cummins Power Generation generator setsGenerator Sets

Cummins Power Generation generator sets are the heart of any on–site power system. Generator sets include a prime mover fueled by diesel, natural gas or propane, and an alternator that provides power at 50 Hz or 60Hz, depending on the application. PowerCommand™ models and our digital master control facilitate paralleling with other generators or the power grid. Our generator sets are the result of integrated design and manufacturing intended to meet your requirements for reliability, power quality, rated performance, and efficient operation.

Diesel Generator Sets

Our diesel–powered generator sets are available in sizes ranging from 7 kW to 2.7 MW. These clean, modern diesels with optional exhaust aftertreatment are suitable for either standby/emergency power, continuous or prime power applications.

Spark–Ignited Gas Generator Sets

Our spark–ignited (stoichiometric) natural gas/propane engine generator sets are available in sizes ranging from 5 kW to 150 kW. These are suited to mid–size applications where onsite fuel storage is restricted, a continuous supply of natural gas is readily available or there are local environmental considerations.

Lean–Burn Gas Generator Sets

Cummins lean–burn natural gas engine generator sets are available in sizes ranging from 315kW to 2 MW. These feature very low emissions and are suitable for prime power and combined heat and power (CHP) applications. Low BTU fuel option on specific models.

Transfer SwitchesCummins transfer switches

Cummins Power Generation offers several transfer switch product lines for use in switching power between two services and with the needs of your application. PowerCommand® transfer switches round out the essential parts of a complete power system from Cummins Power Generation. These microprocessor-based components are designed to function together with a PowerCommand generator set as a seamless power system to deliver reliability, performance and cost effectiveness.

These microprocessor-based controls optimize performance and simplify operation and service in over 100,000 installations worldwide.

Non-Enclosed Transfer Switches and Controls

Cummins non-enclosed transfer switches

Our modular design allows you the flexibility to match the right transfer switch mechanism with the right controller to best suit your application. These field-proven components are available as a package or can be purchased as individual components for OEM applications.

Paralleling Equipment

Cummins paralleling systems

PowerCommand® digital paralleling systems from Cummins Power Generation offer more benefits not available on any other brand of paralleling system.

Systems Without Equal: From true digital control of startup, synchronization, and no-break power transitions — to sophisticated diagnostics, remote monitoring and networkability — PowerCommand Digital Paralleling Systems are without equal. In less than 15 seconds, PowerCommand Digital Paralleling Systems can parallel and synchronize all your diesel and multiple gas-engine generator sets with each other and the utility. This true distributed logic concept features paralleling controls mounted on the generator sets, low or medium voltage power sections and the digital master control for supervisory functions.

Controls are designed and manufactured around standardized control blocks for increased reliability. As a result, PowerCommand systems deliver better performance with increased functionality. And, because they use fewer components, they take up to 40 percent less space than traditional systems.

PowerCommand® systems are installed in thousands of applications worldwide – including electric generation and distribution systems, industrial plants, commercial buildings, hospitals, wastewater treatment plants, transportation systems and pipeline stations
